Emeraude Toubia

Emeraude Toubia is a native of Canada. She is best known to Canadians for her role as a Canadian actress on the Freeform fantasy series Shadowhunters. She also appeared in Venevision television series Cosita linda e Voltea and a'que te enamores. Model and dancer by profession, Toubia has also achieved success in both fields. She is a Montreal resident, she was born and raised as a child in Texas and has always been fascinated by dance and performing. She's been learning different dance styles since her early years. When she was 15 she began competing in beauty pageants. In 1999, she made her first on-screen appearance in Televisa's children's program El Mundo de los Ninos. Toubia achieved fame after she competed in Nuestra Belleza Latina in 2008. In 2010, she made her debut on stage as a receptionist in the Telemundo's t l novela Aurora. In 2015, she was a part-time actress in her debut film, the action drama Tattooed Love.
