Keerthy Suresh

Keerthy Suresh (born 17 October 1992) is an Indian actress, who is primarily in Tamil as well as Telugu films, in addition to several Malayalam films. She received the National Film Award in Best Actress category for her performance as actress Savitri. Additionally, she was awarded three SIIMA Awards as well as a Filmfare Award South. Keerthy Kumar's parents are filmmaker G. Suresh Kumar & actress Menaka G. Suresh. In the early 2000s, she started her career as an actress. After completing her studies in fashion design, Keerthy returned to the world of film. The first time she starred in a leading role was in 2013's Malayalam film Geethaanjali. She went on to star in successful films such as Ring Master (2014), Rajinimurugan (2016), Remo (2016), Bairavaa (2017), Nenu Local (2017), Sandakozhi 2 (2018), Mahanati (2018), Sarkar (2018), Sandakozhi 2 (2018), Penguin (2020), Miss India (2021), Good Luck Sakhi (2022) and Sarkaru Vaari Paata (2022). Keerthy has signed her first Tamil projects in the year 2015, and began to accept projects outside of Malayalam. Her first film, A. L. Vijay's romantic comedy Idhu Enna Maayam, in 2015. The film was starring Vikram Prbhu. The film did not turn out to be an immediate success in the box office. A busy schedule during 2015 led her choose to stay out of movies that she was already developing, like Krishna's Maane Thaene Paeye and Deekay's Kavalai Vendam, in order to take on bigger projects. The result was that she worked on two films in collaboration with Sivakarthikeyan in quick succession, Rajini Murugan and Remo as well as playing the main role on Prabhu Solomon's Thodari, alongside Dhanush.Her Telugu debut was planned to release in Ainaa Ishtam Nuvvu. However, the film is delayed since 2015, with speculation of a release date after September 2020 under a name change to Janakitho Nenu. The film's debut came out as Nenu Sailaja in the year 2016 with actor Ram Pothineni. Keerthy was cast opposite Vijay in Bairavaa by Bharathan that premiered on the 17th of January, 2017.
